Want animals for an upcoming project?
Let us help you.

Cris Rankin got her first taste of being an animal trainer for the entertainment industry during the late 1980s. Prior to that she had always known that she would work with animals for a living but after spending a couple of weeks as a dog trainer on her first feature film, she was completely hooked.

She spent a few years working in L.A under one of the best big cat trainers in the country (Brian McMillan) and although this was a great experience, she eventually decided to come home to be with her family in Arizona.
She continued to work with all types of exotic and domestic animals including spending years as a private dog trainer, a vet tech and a zoo keeper.
During this time she continued to long for work involving animals with the entertainment industry. She eventually met Gerry Kline and Nancy Winton with A1 Animal Talent and began working for them as a trainer in the mid 1990s.

This has proven to be one of the best things to ever happen to her . About 4 years ago Cris bought into the company and, along with Gerry Kline and Kathleen Holland, is currently a full partner in the agency.

Kathleen Holland has been involved with animals since the early 1970 when she worked as a Veterinary technician for a hospital that catered to both dogs and cats as well as exotic animals.
The experience she gained there coupled with her love of animals convinced her that the field of animals was where she would like to remain. Kathleen is a professional groomer and all types and sizes of dogs and cats (as well as a variety of other animals)  have benefited from her expertise to help them look and feel their best.
As a dog trainer she has had the pleasure of watching owners dogs under her training blossom from rowdy canines to well behaved dogs...many of whom have gone on to compete, and title, at AKC obedience trials.

Kathleen has titled multiple dogs in Obedience, Rally and Agility and she is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.
The award winning Arizona Great Dane Drill Team was founded by her and has performed as far away as Kentucky. They can be seen performing at local events, parades and at schools where they host an education program written by Kathleen to help children learn about being responsible dog owners.

Gerry Kline (B.A. Boston University) has been breeding, training, showing and hunting Cocker Spaniels and Black and Tan Coonhounds for over 40 years. She has been an obedience instructor for over 35 years and has put titles on 10 of her Black and Tans as well as having shown them in conformation both thin the AKC ring and UKC shows, having finished many champions, having gone Best of Breed at Westminster.

She and one of her Black and Tans obtained a certificate in obstacle course (precursor to agility) . She was cofounder of and lead trainer for the Companion Animal Association of Arizona Assistance Dog Program and one of its founders and mentors for the Pet Grief Program.

Gerry was also a volunteer and trainer for the Red Acre Hearing Dog Program. She has been active working with 4-H dog project youngsters. Gerry is a tester/observer for Therapy Dogs Incorporated and has been a  handler/dog team with her Black and Tans. She and her dogs have done theater, cable TV, TV Commercials, and photo shoots. She has been a licensed obedience judge for UKC and the Australian Shepherd Club of America.

She was a charter member and Officer of the American Eskimo Club of New England, and has served on the board of other dog clubs and as Chief Steward of AKC obedience trials
